CALL TO WORSHIP

Welcome to sojourn! I’m _______. In a sense, part of being fully human is acknowledging your limitations. Recognizing there’s a certain unsteadiness about you… the circumstances around you waiver, your response to them waivers, but the LORD never waivers. Let’s begin by remembering… hear the word of the Lord:

“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11 They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
12 You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.”

-Hebrews 1:10-13 NIV

Let us praise our unchanging God together!!

Our Great God written by Mac Powell and Fernando Ortega.

CONFESSION/LAMENT

Spoken …we bring to you with our busy days, our accolades, our hopes and our dreams drown out your voice singing over us… let’s spend the next few moments reaching out with our souls… be quite, try to hear the voice of the Lord speaking to us… reminding us that in Christ we don’t need a hook to hang our hat on… at the end of the day we know we’re loved by God…

Hear the word of the Lord-

2 The kings of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break their chains
and throw off their shackles.”

4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them.
5 He rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
6 “I have installed my king
on Zion, my holy mountain.”

-Psalm 2:2-6 NIV

Spoken

Come to Me written by Lizzie Akers, Jeff Capps, Michael Bleecker, Hunter Pecunia.

ASSURANCE/GIVING

Spoken

this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ, 9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. 10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11 according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

-Ephesians 3:8b-12 NIV

Spoken

Death in His Grave written by John Mark McMillan.
