On The Third Birthday Of Our Stillborn Son, Parker

The Faithful Love of the Lord endures forever. Last night I had the privilege of laboring in prayer at the hospital with a dear sister and brother as they prepared for labor and delivery of their stillborn baby girl this morning. Their Briar and my Parker are birthday buddies together with the Lord.

The Faithful Love of the Lord endures forever. This morning I was greeted at the YMCA by a dear woman rejoicing that her great granddaughter was born healthy this morning. Her precious Eva Marie, Briar and Parker are birthday buddies. All gifts and trophies of God’s grace!

The Faithful Love of the Lord endures forever. Today, as always, I’m praising God for my son who was stillborn 3 years ago. I don’t see Parker in the details of my days. He is with the Lord (of course I always carry him in my heart). But, I DO see my loving Father as He delights in revealing His infinite thoughtfulness of Parker in the details of my days. The Lord IS with me and carrying me still.

Thank you, all, for joining me and Bobby as we remember and celebrate Parker and as we labor in mourning and abound in rejoicing with our loved ones, many who have been parted from their babies this year and many who are enjoying knowing their babies now. The faithful love of the Lord endures forever!

Praise the Lord who is good to help us hopefully mourn and genuinely rejoice with others, and simultaneously, every day. His faithful love endures forever!

Praise the Lord who has not handed us over to our enemies or allowed us to drown in our sorrows. His faithful love endures forever!

Praise the Lord who is keeping safe our son Parker and all the little ones who’ve died, until we know and enjoy them fully in the presence of the Lord, and with no memory of ever losing them. The faithful love of the Lord endures forever!
