Easter Liturgical Readings For The Offering

by Bobby Gilles

in Liturgy & Sermons

Here are two readings I’ve written for the offering portion of our worship service liturgy, specifically for Easter. Feel free to use them in your own worship services. And you can get more liturgical readings in our Liturgy & Sermons category here at My Song In The Night.

Easter Offering Reading #1

Because Christ is risen, we can live without fear of death and give without fear of loss, knowing that the happy ending he has promised is certain.

Read this aloud with me:

Risen Savior, we offer you the first fruits of our money,
Just as your resurrected body became the first fruits
Of all who will be raised to eternal life.

If you’re not a Christian, we’re not asking for your money. This service is our gift to you. For those who look to the resurrection of Christ as your hope, the giving baskets will go around as we continue to sing.

Easter Offering Reading #2

Because Christ kept his promise to raise himself from the dead, we know he can keep his promise to take our meager offerings and use them to build his kingdom.

Read this aloud with me:

Risen King, we offer you a portion of our money,
Believing that you will use it to lead others into
Eternal life with us.

If you’re not a Christian, we’re not asking for your money. This service is our gift to you. For those who serve in the kingdom of God, the giving baskets will go around as we continue to sing.
