CALL TO WORSHIP
Welcome… we gather to worship Jesus the king! …hear John’s vision recorded in Revelation 5:
Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders
the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands,
saying with a loud voice,
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom
and might and honor and glory and blessing!”
And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth
and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” -Based on Revelation 5:11-14
It goes on to say the elders fell down and worshipped him… let us worship him together!

CONFESSION
Life in God’s family is not marked by perfection yet… We eagerly await Christ’s return to make all things new, but until then we continuously call out to our God in prayer:
…get specific about the sin contained within our speech
Let all who are faithful offer prayer to you; at a time of distress, the rush of mighty waters shall not reach them. —Psalm 32:6, NRSV
Let this next song direct our prayer as we recognize our own sin and lament over sin, suffering, and injustice. Friends, remember that the Lord loves hearing His children trust in him at all times.

ASSURANCE/GIVING
God is our refuge and strength. Let us declare the word of the Lord together:
On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him;
God is a refuge for us.

Hallelujah! …and if God is our refuge, it ultimately means our stuff and the wealth we amass is not – both individually, and as a church. Here this word from Hebrews:
5-6 Don’t be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,” we can boldly quote,
God is there, ready to help;
I’m fearless no matter what.
