As many of you know, several years ago I wrote the social justice hymn “Let Justice Roll” with Rebecca Elliott, based on Amos 5:24. Sojourn Music recorded it on 2015’s New Again, with lead vocals by Meg Shaffer.
Now, I’m excited for you to hear a new version by Ethnos Community Church in San Diego, as part of their full length record The Ethnos Project, Volume 3:
I especially loved what they did with the “let it roll” tag, and also the inclusion of the Spoken Word part, written by Phil Allen. You can download this new version of “Let Justice Roll” from iTunes here. Better yet, get the whole Ethnos Project, Vol 3 on iTunes here. Or even get the physical CD here — you’ll get artwork, song lyrics and more.
Ethnos Community Church has a heart for reaching their local community in its cultural and ethnic diversity. And The Ethnos Project has become a multiple-volume music series that has fostered and strengthened relationships in various Christ-centered faith communities around the globe.
Their goal is to continue to build bridges and share the love of Jesus through multicultural music. The Ethnos Project: Volume 3 features songsĀ and stories from Chile, South Africa, Turkey, Japan, the United States, and many more. I’m so honored that “Let Justice Roll” is a part of it. Special thanks to Kimberly Holmes, Eric Lige, Tinika Wyatt, Phil Allen and everyone else who breathed this new arrangement to life.
