Welcome to Sojourn’s weekly worship music set list review & service recap. You’ll not only read a list of the songs we led, but also the readings and prayers from our liturgy. And if you’d like to see how we incorporate liturgical art and lead the responsive readings, watch the embedded Facebook Live video of our entire service, originally streamed on the Sojourn New Albany Facebook page. Our liturgy is written by worship director Justin Shaffer in collaboration with worship directors at other Sojourn churches. This week’s sermon is from Acts 14:15-22. It comes from Deacon Stephen Pierce, our director of student ministries. Learn more about Sojourn Community Church here.

CALL TO WORSHIP
Welcome to Sojourn! We remember each week, through all of life’s circumstances that the Lord is in control, and over all things. As the people of God we keep our eyes on Him. Focused on Him and His work. Let’s hear the word of the Lord and read the underlined portions with me.
I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.
I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.
The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed,
A refuge in times of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in you,
For you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.
-Psalm 9:1-2;9-10
Let’s sing together!
Song: Our God written by Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves & Jonas Myrin.
CONFESSION
Gracious Father,
We confess that we have sought out the pleasures of this world over You.
Though Your voice calls to us daily, we continue to turn away to our own path.
Loving God hear our plea,
As a deer longs for streams of water, so we long for you, God.
We thirst for God, the living God.
We will put our hope in God! We will praise him again—our Savior and our God!
- Adapted from Psalm 42:1-2,11
Song: Satisfied In You written by Brian Eichelberger.

PASSING OF THE PEACE
In Christ we’ve received new life, and this life is one that is meant to be shared sacrificially with those around us. Let’s read this word together from 1 John:
“We know what real love is because
Jesus gave up his life for us.
So we also ought to give up our lives for our
brothers and sisters.
Dear children, let’s not merely say that
we love each other; let us show
the truth by our actions.”
-1 John 4:16,18 (NLT)
Knowing that Christ has saved us into this group of people around you, welcome one another this morning.
