I’ve written before about the difficulties that indie artists encounter in this new age of digital streams and downloads. But this is a blessed time too, because more artists than ever before are able to record their music and release it around the world. More and more artists are doing so, including those who are called to make music for the Church.
One such band, Augustus, hails from Indianapolis, Indiana. Recently Augustus band member Andrew Meador and I have been talking about their upcoming worship record Second To None. This month they’re running a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for the album’s completion. You can see a video and learn the details here.
They’ve supplied me with three copies of their 5-song EP Kingdom Come, to do a Twitter giveaway for My Song In The Night readers. You can hear a sample on iTunes here. To register to win one of the three physical CD copies, simply tweet:
@bobbygilles register me to win a free copy of #KingdomCome, the record by worship band Augustus.
I will choose the contest winner by using the True Random Number Generator at random.org.
So what are you waiting for? Tweet away! And don’t forget to check out the Kickstarter page for Second To None by Augustus.
