A couple weeks ago I shared a post with you entitled “Congregations Listening More But Singing Less,” which shared some wisdom from Isaac Wardell, leader of Bifrost Arts.
Bifrost Arts is in the forefront of the modern hymns movement. They’ve released two albums which breathe new life and modern melodies into some of the greatest hymns ever written:
- Come O Spirit! Anthology Of Hymns And Spiritual Songs, Volume One (sample/ purchase on iTunes here)
- Salvation Is Created: A Christmas Record (sample/ purchase on iTunes here)
Like a lot of the best current music for worship, Bifrost Arts is not on a record label. This means that we can be that label, in the sense that we can raise the money Bifrost needs to record their third worship album.
I love listening, singing and studying the Bifrost Arts hymns, just as Kristen loves singing and playing them while leading congregations in worship, so we gladly paid to help support this venture. We hope you will too. Here is a link to the Bifrost Arts Kickstarter campaign page. You can also get there from the widget below:
And here is the excellent Bifrost Arts video for their version of the classic hymn “Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me,” featuring Laura Gibson, from Come O Spirit!:
