Good morning Sojourners, esteemed colleagues and visiting guests. 😉 In Christ, all of life is an act of worship, but this is also a special place to respond to God’s call on our lives to worship him above all others as we gather together.
1 Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth!
2 Sing about the glory of his name!
Tell the world how glorious he is.
3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
Your enemies cringe before your mighty power.
4 Everything on earth will worship you;
they will sing your praises,

Lord, you have made a world that is full of beauty and wonder.
You have allowed us to know you,

ASSURANCE/GIVING
Brothers and sisters here this blessed assurance we have…
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live. When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

Our God did not leave us as orphans! How great a truth! We have the Spirit who daily guides us, convicts, and encourages. We have the truth that Jesus is coming back and we will have perfect joy with Him for all eternity. Our God is not an absent parent, but a present Father. Let us sing and be reminded of that truth as the giving baskets are passed around!
