Liturgical Reading For The Offering — Delivery From Evil

by Bobby Gilles

in Liturgy & Sermons

Here is a script I’ve written for the offering portion of our worship service liturgy, specifically for a service that celebrates the God who delivers us from evil (Matthew 6:13). Feel free to use it in your own worship services. And you can get more liturgical readings in our Liturgy & Sermons category here at My Song In The Night.

When we remember and celebrate who God is and what He has done for us, delivering us from evil and bringing us into his kingdom, it spurs our hearts to give generously as an act of worship.

Let’s pray this together:

Lord, you’ve forgiven our sin, led us out of bondage
And adopted us into your royal family. We give in thanks
For all you’ve done.

If you’re a visitor this morning, don’t feel obligated to give. This service is our gift to you, from coffee to childcare, because the people around you are some of the most generous people you’ll ever meet.

And now, the giving baskets will go around as we continue to sing.
